Legacy Track of the Week: Mike Posner ft Matthew Schuler - Perfect

“When I open up and get hurt by someone (that's) (Perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect)/ When you trust somebody and they don't let you down (that's) (Perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect)/ When somebody you love dies, but you still feel 'em around” Recorded by a collective of musicians on a two-week retreat in Colorado, this is a record that gives Mike Posner some newfound legitimacy.

James Blake ft Metro Boomin & Travis Scott - Mile High

“If I give it to you, will you leave? Tell it to you, will you speak? Got it tatted on my sleeve/ Fell in love overseas/ Ass fatter than a peach, uh/ Ocean water kinda deep, uh/ Rollin' up out the reef, uh/ Put me down, straight to sleep” The British songwriter with Beyonce respect and major ties to hip-hop and R&B, released his fourth studio album, Assume Form, to commercial success and critical acclaim and this collaborative effort is one of the highlights.

James Blake - Lullaby For My Insomniac

“Sleep happens to you/ It's not a failure if you can't/ In any case, you will at some point, fall/ You'll let go, and you'll forget where you are… If you can't, I'll stay up, I'll stay up too/ I'd rather see everything as a blur tomorrow, if you do” A poem for a love interest who can’t fall asleep, this is the poetry I’m here for.

Mustard ft Migos - Pure Water

“Uh (Woo, woo), no Master P (Ayy)/ Ten bad bitches and they after me (Bad)/ One bad bitch look like a masterpiece (Uh)/ Lookin' for a dunk, like a athlete (Uh)” The first single off Mustard’s third solo album, Perfect Ten, that was released later that summer, this one right here is one of Migos best songs and one of the best radio hits of the year.

Ariana Grande - 7 Rings

“My wrist, stop watchin', my neck is flossy/ Make big deposits, my gloss is poppin'/ You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it/ I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it (Yeah)” The pop princess and former Nickelodeon star has certainly become one of the most prominent names in the music industry, and while this promotional single stirred a lot of unnecessary controversy on social media, both the music and the aesthetics were a good look for her overall.

Logic - Keanu Reeves

“Did you know I'm mixed like Obama? It ain't a project if Logic ain't talkin' 'bout being biracial bicoastal, I'm platinum, go postal, I'm snappin'” A promotional single off his fifth studio album, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, the content isn’t much on this but he’s definitely snappin.
