Oh oh, what's the future showing'?” Originally released on the Lets Get It On [Deluxe Edition] in 2001, this is another timeless classic that deserved a proper release and much more acclaim - and on another note this song would’ve been perfect for 1999’s Life soundtrack starring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence.

“And then we jive in the master plan/ we can walk together, side by side, hand in hand” Marvin Gaye’s shelved 1972 album, You’re The Man, was finally released in March of 2019, and truth be told it’s a collection of seldom heard masterpieces. This one was initially released in 1986 on Motown’s compilation album Motown Remembers Marvin Gaye: Never Before Released Masters, and it’s truly a wonder how this record never came out in his lifetime.
Marvin Gaye - Piece of Clay
“Everybody wants somebody/ to be their own piece of clay” Originally released on the box set compilation The Master (1961-1984), and then re-released on the 1996 Phenomenon soundtrack for the film that starred John Travolta, this is another work of art that somehow was not released in the early 1970’s when it was created and ultimately shelved for decades.

“You got what I need baby (don't wanna lose you)/ I don't wanna lose you/ (don't wanna, don't wanna, don't wanna lose you)/ so I'm gon' give you respect and I want to protect, our love (This love of ours, yeah, yeah, yeah)” Originally released on the 2001 Deluxe Edition of the 1973 classic Let’s Get It On, this is another record that should have had millions on the dance floor during the height of his career - this jam right here is undeniable.

“Try it, you'll like it/ what the world needs now/ is a little more love” Initially recorded in 1972 and eventually released on the 2001 deluxe album, it’s still a wonder how this took almost 30 years to be heard.
Marvin Gaye - My Last Chance (SalaAM ReMi Remix)
“Hey, baby/ may I have this dance?” Salaam Remi remixes a track that was originally a demo during the What’s Going On? sessions in 1970, which was later revised and released in 1973 as “I Love You Secretly” for The Miracles, only to then be remixed in 1990 to universal acclaim on the Marvin Gaye Collection. Prior to this release of You’re the Man, however, the 1972 version was also released in 2001 on the 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Very Best of Marvin Gaye, Vol. 2: The 1970s.

“'Cause I want to see snowflakes fall/ I want to see Santa Claus” One of the greatest Christmas songs ever recorded, Gaye wrote and sung this in 1972 yet it was never officially released until 1990 with the Marvin Gaye Collection, and ever since then it’s become one of the great holiday classics.
Marvin Gaye - Checking Out (Double Clutch)
“Well, these are just a bunch of guys from Detroit/ name of Bohannon/ they can play the music straight/ but they thought they'd double clutch it for you” Originally released on the aforementioned box set The Master (1961-1984), this one is as funky as it gets and was a great way to close out the ‘previously unreleased’ album.

“'Cause life's a B when your E-Y-E's can't seize the intangibles/ it's like stumbling and tumbling through a drum machine so kids, read the Lin Manuel/ Miranda Rights, no plans tonight/ now picture this/ made a lil' money, thought it made me poppin'/ it didn't make me happy but it gave me options” Phonte doing Phonte is always a win.
Logic - Bohemian Trapsody
“Every night/ I grab a little piece of earth and make it ignite/ I'm a satellite, drifting through your nova at the speed of light” In between his fourth and fifth albums, YSIV and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, the one and only Logic released his first ‘soundtrack’ for a novel that he wrote of the same name, none other than Supermarket - which is unlike anything he’s released before - aside from this introduction - that is more conventional Logic and is nothing but flames 🔥🔥🔥

“Where is my girl? The one I've been waiting for/ I'd give you the world, if I wasn't stuck in this store” I can’t exactly pinpoint what genre this is, but it also doesn’t matter, and the only thing certain is that Logic is one of the more creative acts in hip-hop.

Yelawolf - Box Chevy 6
“Who in the fuck is this hick with the flows? Catfish Billy got that pocket, homie/ I'm a rocket, homie, I don't think slow” Yelawolf released his last album on Shady Records in 2019 entitled Trunk Muzik 3, and produced by DJ Paul this is one of the better cuts on the project.
