October, 1918 "Masks of Evil" Cont.

  • The following month Indiana and his unit are sent to Transylvania, Romania to investigate an Austrian POW camp that had recently been attacked.

  • Upon searching a nearby castle Indy’’s team finds the missing soldiers and is confronted by Mathias Targo, a separatist General that is also revealed to be a vampire - most likely the infamous Vlad the Impaler.

  • Indiana is soon able to defeat the army of vampires and allows the dead soldiers to finally rest in peace.

  • Vlad the Impaler - aka Vlad Dracula - voivode (prince) of Wallachia and second son of Vlad Dracul - ruler of Wallachia in the 1400s. Throughout history, Vlad has been widely remembered for his unprecedented cruelty, of which he used on his victims to demonstrate his power. Books describing Vlad’s bloodthirstiness became best sellers following his death, including Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Count Dracula.



  • Locations are as follows:



  • Transylvania - historic region located in what’s today’s central Romania, known for its medieval architecture and it’s Carpathian Mountain landscape, it has also been associated with Count Dracula due to it’s loose affiliations with Vlad The Impaler.
